It’s a hoedown showdown!
In celebration of International Dance Week, we’re throwing another community square dance at the W.O.W. Hall—and believe us when we say that old-time is a very good time. There will be plenty of chaos, and a room full of neighbors moving and laughing together.
We’ll have three live bands driving the rhythm;
- Golden Twine Stringband
- Fine Times Stringband
- What the Devil
With Melissa Takush calling (and maybe some other special guests, as well!)
Our dances are intergenerational, welcoming folks of all abilities, and we use gender-free calls so everyone can find their place on the floor. The caller will teach every dance, so you can jump in even if it’s your first time. No experience, no partner, no fancy outfit required.
This is a free event, but donations are appreciated and help to support the performers and so that we can keep these community dances going strong!
Come get down at the hoedown!
