NEW! Oakshire Commons Old-Time Session in Springfield
Oakshire Commons – 416 Main Street in Springfield
Mud City will bring together some of the finest traditional musicians in town for intimate acoustic sets. Grab dinner and a beer, and settle in for an evening of rich, groovy old-time melodies and timeless fiddle tunes.
We’ll be there 7–9pm on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays each month beginning on May 7th.

Big update for the Claim 52 jam… starting in May, we’re moving from 1st & 3rd Mondays to the 2nd & 4th Mondays of each month. The first new-night jam will be May 11th, so make sure to update your calendars and tell your friends! We’ll be in the same spot upstairs in the loft and at the same time, 6:30-8:30 pm. We’ll be keeping it going strong through the summer with plenty of great tunes and fun folks to play with!
Our Mission in the Community
Mud City Old-Time Society is dedicated to supporting old-time music and dance in the Southern Willamette Valley. We are a progressive, inclusive community that sponsors concerts, workshops, jams and square dances open to people from any background and experience level. If you are interested in the power of participatory music and social dance, we invite you to come play and dance with us!
Music for Everyone
As a precursor to bluegrass, old-time string band music is acoustic and lively. We host concerts, workshops and a variety of jams that welcome new players just getting started, as well as more experienced players wanting to play more up to speed.
Have a Dance With Us
Our square dances always feature live bands as well as callers who teach everything you need to know on the spot. You don’t need any special clothes or even a partner—there will be plenty of fun folks to dance with. Check out our events to learn more!
